Self-Love is about taking care of your mind, body, emotions and soul.
Self-Acceptance is the attitude that allows for self-love.
Most importantly, self-love is not about being selfish.
Step 2 of Holistic Living
As we are respectful to the society, we need to be respectful to ourselves also. But is self-love and being selfish the same? The answer is “NO”. Self love is about developing discipline in one's life without disturbing or hurting anyone.
How to show Self-Love?
Self-Love for Body.
Self-Love for Emotional Well-Being.
Self-Love for Mind.
Self-Love to Know One-self.
Self-Love for Soul.
Self-Love for Body
One should maintain hygiene by cleaning body both externally (bathing) and internally (flushing out toxins).
Keep yourself hydrated and eat according to the need.
Be physically active by involving one-self in simple activities like walking, yoga, aerobic exercises, etc.
Self-Love for Emotional Well-Being
Be contented with what is available for you.
Be happy in the present moment.
Practice gratitude every day. Start by writing a gratitude journal.
Self-Love for Mind
Purification of mind from the toxic thoughts by practicing meditation.
"Meditation" is not just losing your eyes and sitting quietly, it is also pursuing your interest, your passion, your hobbies.
Self-Love to Know One-self
Be observant of your body and mind.
Be careful about your thoughts.
Before reaching to any conclusion, do some introspection.
Self-Love for Soul
Involve yourself with some spiritual activities like reading scriptures, chanting, listening to spiritual talks, etc.
Uplift yourself and connect with the supreme power.
“Be so rooted and busy in improving yourself, that nobody can disturb your inner peace”
